The Research Behind P6 Acupressure

P6 (Neiguan) is an acupressure point on the inner wrist that has been studied for its potential role in managing nausea and vomiting. Research has examined P6 stimulation in a variety of settings, including pregnancy, motion sickness, migraine-associated nausea and symptoms accompanying vertigo.

Results vary across studies, populations and methods of P6 stimulation. Some studies have found meaningful reductions in nausea, while others have reported limited or mixed effects. The research below is provided for anyone interested in learning more about the evidence behind P6 acupressure.

A note about the research: Blisslets are designed to provide P6 acupressure. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease, and individual responses to acupressure vary. The studies above examine P6 stimulation or acupressure generally and should not be interpreted as clinical studies of Blisslets specifically.
